Roger has worked as a cameraman and editor for the past 25 years and is well able to integrate filming style and technique with the task in hand, from reacting fast to changing situations, to the patient capturing of the moment.

He has a creative eye for detail and his technical ability and flair with lighting have sustained him on a broad variety of assignments throughout the world. A member of the Guild of Television Cameramen, his experience encompasses news, corporate, documentary and sport.

His most memorable assignment was filming for the Royal Navy in the Antarctic. Being able to film the scenery from a spot that no other person had stood or done before gave him a great buzz. Far away from the cold isolation, he is also at home in “press scrums” on the fashion catwalk recording the glitz of design. Invariably cheerful with a non-intrusive style of working has certified him to film Royalty and celebrities.

Qualified as a stills photographer he still admits to using his eye for a still photograph in his film shooting but adds during a short assignment into Bosnia during 1992 when asked to try and get some stills as well as filming realised very quickly that even though “a picture tells a thousand words” it still can't talk to you like a motion picture camera can. |
